57 Picture of dandelion and seeds

Sketchpad perched on his knees, Mike tried again to capture the exact placement of the light hitting the patch of dandelions.  He could already see clearly the bright, yellow pencil that he would use to fill in the drawing.  Before, he’d always worked in black and white with his pencil drawings, but since Rosa liked color, he figured he could at least attempt incorporating some.

“How’s it going?” she asked now.

Mike sighed.  “Slowly.”

Rosa plucked one, twirling the stem around her fingers before blowing the fluff his way.  He sneezed, and when she laughed, he couldn’t help joining her.

Mike Foster and Rosa Cruz.  Original characters.
