86 Knife Going In
James battered the knife back, slamming his blade against his opponent’s with the last of his dying force. The man simply parried his blow, hitting back twice as hard. His left knife, the one that had just managed to deflect the strike, went flying somewhere off to his right.
Breathing hard, James raised his lone weapon, hating the fear that quivered through his bones when the enemy chuckled. Then he was attacking, and before James could think, his meager defense was shredded as the blade met his shoulder.
He could feel its slick slide through his flesh. He was doomed.
James Knox. Original character.
