94 She is the Sunlight
I couldn’t explain it. Not to anyone. Especially not to the person to whom it was most applicable. I loved her, sure, but it was more than that. I simply couldn’t fathom my world without her in it. It hurt, more than any physical pain I’d ever suffered. How ironic that she wanted nothing to do with me anymore, for reasons she’d never explained. I tried to tell myself it didn’t matter. As much as I couldn’t see her in my world, it was worse, somehow, to imagine a world—mine or not—that existed without her presence at all.
James Knox. Original character.
