95 Take Me on the Floor

“We’re not blending in,” James pointed out, raising his voice just enough to be heard above the music.

“How do you mean?”  Naomi asked.

“Everyone’s dancing.”

“And your point?”

Downing the last of his drink, James said, “We’ve been at the bar for the past thirty minutes.  We need to do something so we don’t stand out like crazy.”

Smirking at his determination, Naomi asked, “What did you have in mind?”

He set his glass down.  “Why don’t we dance?”

“With you?”

He feigned hurt.  “See anyone else around?”

“No.”

“Then come on.”  He led her out onto the floor.

James Knox and Naomi Williams.  Original characters.
